Caterina Monda is an international PR consultant specialized in media relations and event coordination in the field of design, culture, and luxury.
After working a few years in New York City, Caterina moved to Milan to continue broadening her professional and personal horizons. Caterina offers clients bespoke PR strategies to raise brand awareness and visibility, and striving for excellence in the global market. Biracial (Jamaican & Italian), Caterina is committed to encouraging cultural diversity and awareness in her partnerships. Championing innovation, creativity and research Caterina works with the next generation of upcoming international talents across the fields of fashion, design, arts and culture.
Previously, Caterina was the curatorial assistant in Triennale Milano working alongside President, Stefano Boeri and Artistic Director, Lorenza Baroncelli to support all major projects of the museum and researching global trends in support of the decision making executive team, including Hans Ulrich Obrist and Dame Julia Peyton Jones. In NYC, Caterina was Account Executive at Nadine Johnson & Associates garnering a portfolio of 13 international clients across the spectrum of culture and luxury. She was the solo executive for the creation of the global media strategy and positioning for all of NJA’s fairs (Salon Art & Design Fair and New York International Antiquarian Book Fair).
Other past special projects and events include, press coordinator at Suzanne Syz’s jewelry launch at the Mark Hotel in NYC; and press coordinator for special op-ed photo shoots at Telfar Global presentation at Pitti Uomo in Florence.
Caterina is President of the Board of The Flying Whale, a new not-for-profit that will promote cultural dialog between the United States and Italy. Born in Rome and raised in New York City, she attended Concordia University in Montreal with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History. Caterina’s clients have been featured in The New York Times, Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Forbes, Wallpaper*, and The World of Interiors, among others.
